Meet Our Team

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapists at Shian are Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in BC. They all graduated with 3000 hours training from an accredited school as well as successfully passing the board exam administered by The College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC). They are active registrants in good standing. RMTs are educated to assess, evaluate and treat various type of conditions which may or may not involve soft tissue or joint injury.

Registered Dietitian

Dietitians at Shian are Registered Dietitians (RD) in BC, some are also members of Dietitians of Canada. They all hold a Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from an accredited university as well as successfully completed supervised practical training. They are active registrants in good standing of College of Dietitians of BC.  RD’s are educated to assess, evaluate and treat various types of conditions. Our dietitians give tailored advice on making healthier food and nutrition choices based on the needs and lifestyle of each individual.

Cancelation Policy

A minimum 24 hour cancellation notice is required at our clinic. Unable to do so may result in a charge of the FULL amount of your scheduled appointment fee.

Appointment Time

Your “Appointment Time” includes: case history intake, assessment, treatment / consultation and home care education.

Payment Methods

We accept Cash, Cheque, Debit, Visa and Mastercard as payment methods.

Please complete the intake form and bring it with you on your initial visit.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Making an appointment is highly recommended. We offer simple and convenient online booking.

What to expect on your first visit?

Prior to your initial visit, you will need to complete a case history form in the download section below. Please advise your practitioners if you are expecting, had any surgeries or injuries, taking any medication or if you have any other health concerns.

You will be assessed by the practitioner before any treatments can be received. It is necessary for your practitioners to assess, or (re-) evaluate in order to establish a baseline and create/modify the treatment plan that is most effective for your personal goals.

Please communicate with your practitioner prior, during and after treatment(s) to modify the treatment plans as you wish.

What should I wear for my initial treatment?

Please wear comfortable clothing for your appointment. Please leave your valuables at home.

Who qualifies an ICBC visits?

If you sustained personal injury from a motor vehicle accident (MVA), and your claim is still open, you may qualify to receive treatments.

All of our practitioners are ICBC health care partners. Please contact us ASAP to get on to the road of your recovery. We also offer Direction-To-Pay so that you don’t have to worry about paying your treatment fees from your own pocket. This can be arranged between our clinic and your lawyer’s office.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

You are not required to provide a doctor’s referral to receive treatment/consultation from us. Your extended benefit coverage may require approval prior to your visit. Please consult your benefit provider for details.
